The ALCA Sail-N-Soak Open Cat regatta was held this past week-end and was attended by eight boats!
Saturday, May 14
While the weather conditions (rain and chilly) were not optimum, the conditions for sailing (wind) improved throughout the day. A total of five races were completed on Saturday. Saturday's dinner was plentiful and delicious. I give a HUGE thank-you to Jerry and Lori Mohney for hosting the Saturday night social activities. One big warm hug to David Dunlap, Keith Mortlock and Jeremiah Tinker for braving the elements on the race committee. Two warm hugs to Win Larsen. Win was a madman on the jet ski. You would not have known it was cold weather as he flew across Austin Lake to make course corrections.
Sunday, May 15
The races were canceled due to temperature and "nuclear" wind conditions.
