summer series week #3 – July 20, 2021

Hello All, 

For week #3 of the Summer Series, the forecast is calling for temps in the low 80’s, sunny, winds are forecasted to be around 10, gusting to 15 out the NorthWest.

Brewsters after sailing! Please be patient with the staff as well. 

Jerry Mohney is RC for this week so thanks in advance for the effort Jerry! 

Please remember we always sail at 6:30 on Tuesdays. Unless RC cancels for weather related reasons, we will make a decision by 5pm.  As a clarification from the PRO, weather – related cancellations will be made as soon as can be, based on the current conditions and not necessarily by 5pm.   

Coming up in September, Hobie 17 NACs will be at Michigan City!

Summer Series Week #3 – July 21, 2020

Forecast for Tuesday night at 6:00 pm -Mostly cloudy with temps at 81 feeling like 83; SSE winds at 4 mph. If anyone has connections with the wind gods…bring it on!  With this type of forecast, be sure to stay tuned to our Facebook or website and email for racing details around 5-5:30.

If we do sail, please, please, please be sure to sail past and alert the Committee Boat with your sail number, skipper and crew so we do not have any hiccups with scoring.  We have a few new members that may not know this and a friendly reminder to those of us in the silver fleet as well.
I have updated and emailed the latest Fleet Directory and Sail # list as of tonight (7/20/20).  If you see your name in the CC portion of the message, it means that we have no record of your membership payment and you will not be scored.  If I have this wrong, please message me.

Summer series week #3 – July 23, 2019

Tuesday looks great with sunny skies and temps in the 70’s and winds out of the northwest at 10-15 mph at start time.  Dave Stiemsma is the RC, and it’s his pontoon boat for committee boat.  Our PRO will be absent for the night, so any questions should be directed to Dave at (269)760-2698.  We will be meeting at Brewster’s after sailing tomorrow night, and there will be stories to tell about the Fleet 126 Michigan City one day regatta some of us attended this past weekend.  Turtle Soup Anyone?

  • July 27 – July 28:  Pere Marquette Regatta  CRAM/HCANA Hobie Event
  • Aug 4: ALCA Float Party
  • Aug 17:  Fleet 126 Race 3, Michigan City
  • Sept 1:   Fleet 126 Race 4, Michigan City.
  • Resister for Muskegon July 27th and 28th! Last day for pre-registration is Tuesdayt (July 23rd)  at midnight!  We have at rough guess 13 Hobie 16s that should be in attendance!
  • Manistee on August 10th and 11th
  • Port Sanilac August 24th and 25th  
  • CSYC September 7th and 8th
  • Caseville II on September 28th and 29th in place of Tawas this year
