For those that weren’t in attendance at the Spring Kick-Off meeting on April 21, you missed a great ALCA member gift card auction hosted by Julie Lenczycki…Going once… going twice… SOLD!
It was recommended by the fleet officers (and approved by the fleet members in attendance) that due to the less than spectacular spring we have been having, that we postpone the start of the Spring series this year to May 8, 2018. We will run 8 weeks of Spring series (to June 26th). We will take the next week off for the week of July 4th, then start the Summer series on July 10th and run for only 8 weeks to August 28th. Done before the Labor Day weekend. If weather permits and sailors are inclined we may have a short Fall series after Labor day, stay tuned.
Happy Spring!! The weather may not be cooperating but it’s finally time to start thinking about the 2018 Sailing Season!!
The officers have met and decided to have our 2018 Spring Kick-off party on Saturday, April 21 starting at 5:30 pm if you want a tour of the new Dunlap/Rubino Lake House; the meeting will start at 6:00 pm with dinner and door prize auction immediately following.
To encourage timely membership payment this year, the officers decided to auction off some gift card door prizes at the meeting. If you bring your filled out attached 2018 ALCA Membership form and payment (racing or social) you will get ALCA Bucks to use in the auction. If you haven’t already RSVP’d via the facebook page, please reply to make sure we have enough for everyone to eat.
